Employee Appreciation Day - March 6, 2020!

You probably almost missed it.

But your good and hard-working employees will not!

Tomorrow, March 6, 2020, is Employee Appreciation Day! Ideally, you already have something nice planned to express your appreciation for your employees.

For the last 20 years, Employee Appreciation Day has been celebrated on the first Friday in March. Employers around the world express their appreciation for their employees' hard work and dedication on this day.

Often, companies use this occasion to recognize the achievements and contributions of their employees through unique ideas. But no matter the contribution, each employee should be left with a feeling of being appreciated as a valuable worker who contributes to your company's success.

Some positive recognition of your workers can make a big impact on workplace motivation. Being appreciated increases morale and reduces turnover. Employee recognition also boosts oxytocin levels, which increases bonding and makes one feel cared for.

Ideas for showing Employee Appreciation are only limited by your imagination, but may include a catered meal or, taking them out for lunch, personalized cards or gift bags, games or socializing events, a paid happy-hour event, a super-dooper casual day, a wine-tasting or beer-tasting field trip, or certificates of appreciation good for a future benefit, or ... let your imagination run wild!

Of course, all legal disclaimers and caveats apply, so make sure its done right. (We are a law office, after all.)
